My Journey: From Curiosity to Innovation — A Story of Purpose, Faith, and Vision

I grew up asking questions — sometimes too many for comfort. From an early age, I was fascinated by the intricacies of life. How does the body fight disease? What makes technology tick? How do ideas move from the mind to reality? But growing up, I didn't always know where those questions would take me. All I knew was that I wanted to understand, to create, and to make a difference.

Roots in Curiosity

I wasn't always the "tech guy" or the "scientist" — I was just a young person with an intense curiosity about the world. My journey started with something simple: a fascination with immunology and the body’s incredible ability to fight off infections. I spent hours learning about the immune system, reading scientific papers, and asking questions that stretched beyond textbooks. I wanted to know how things worked, but more than that, I wanted to know why.

During my high school years, I realized that my interest in science wasn’t just academic; it was deeply connected to a sense of purpose. I began to see how much science — and the way we understood it — could change lives. It could save lives. And it was that realization that pushed me to pursue bioinformatics, machine learning, and software development.

The Turning Point: Connecting Science with Technology

As I started my studies at the Malawi University of Science and Technology, my world expanded. I found myself immersed in the fascinating world of bioinformatics, where I could combine my love for data science and biology. The realization hit me like a lightning bolt: the future of healthcare lies in technology.

It wasn’t long before I found myself collaborating with brilliant minds, including my mentor, Professor Kondwani Jambo, on research projects involving TCR repertoire analysis and RNA sequencing. But it wasn’t just the research that excited me — it was the potential. The potential to integrate machine learning algorithms and software engineering into immunology and genomics to unlock new treatments and technologies.

And so, I began to envision something bigger — something impactful.

Building My Vision: From Idea to Reality

Through the years, my work in bioinformatics and machine learning began to crystallize into a larger vision: creating technological solutions that could transform healthcare. It wasn’t enough to understand the problems; I wanted to be a part of the solution.

In 2023, I founded Solidity Designs Labs, a company with one central mission: to build innovative, impactful technology. We specialize in developing mobile apps, web applications, and software solutions that solve real-world problems, particularly in healthcare. But beyond that, I wanted to explore the future — the Web3 and AI technologies that would redefine how we live, work, and interact.

One project I’m especially passionate about is recycling plastic into prosthetics. What started as a small idea — a way to tackle plastic waste — has blossomed into a mission to make prosthetics more affordable and accessible, especially for communities that need them most. It’s a project that blends tech innovation with humanity, and it's at the heart of everything we do at Solidity Designs Labs.

The Power of Faith and Purpose

The road hasn’t always been easy. In fact, there have been countless moments of doubt. Times when the vision seemed too big, the obstacles too great. But through it all, I’ve found strength in my faith. Faith that purpose will always guide me. Faith that no matter how difficult the path, the destination will be worth it.

One moment that stands out is when I received a message from Professor Kondwani Jambo, saying, “You will go as far as you can imagine.” It wasn’t just a simple compliment; it was a prophecy. A reminder that the limits of our potential are often set by our imagination. If we can dream it, we can build it.

The Future: Building a Legacy

I’ve always believed that our work is our legacy. Every line of code, every scientific breakthrough, every product we build — it’s a step toward something larger. I don’t want to just build companies or create tech for the sake of it. I want to build a legacy — one rooted in faith, purpose, and the desire to solve problems that matter.

As I continue this journey, I’m not just looking to make a name for myself. I’m looking to empower the next generation of innovators, to create platforms for young scientists and entrepreneurs to dream big and achieve the impossible.

But my story is just beginning. The work we’re doing at Solidity Designs Labs, the research in bioinformatics and genomics, the exploration of Web3 and AI — all of it is just the beginning of a much larger vision. I have no idea how far this journey will take me, but I’m ready to see where my imagination leads.

Final Thoughts

If there’s one thing I’ve learned so far, it’s this: the future belongs to those who dare to dream and are bold enough to build it.

And to everyone reading this — whatever your dreams are, don’t let anyone tell you they’re too big. You have the power to make them happen. If I can do it, so can you.

How Do You Manage to Do All This?

“How do you manage to do all this?” That’s the question I get all the time. People see me balancing school, research, software projects, outreach programs, trainings, and writing and they wonder how it's possible. Sometimes, I pause and ask myself the same thing. But when I reflect deeply, the answer always points back to one thing: God 1. God Is My Source Before the structure, before the vision, before the discipline, God is the foundation . My strength doesn’t come from me. There are days I’m overwhelmed. Days when I feel like giving up. But somehow, I keep showing up. Somehow, I keep moving. That “somehow” is not luck. It’s grace. I believe I was born for a purpose greater than myself. And every time I pray, every time I surrender my plans, I get clarity and peace to keep going. Faith is my compass 2. I Have a Vision That Was Planted in Me I believe God gives each of us a calling. Mine? To be a bridge between science and solutions in Africa. To build systems, tools,...

Growing Up with Girls Made Me Gangster

I didn’t grow up in the streets, but I grew up in a world that didn’t let me breathe soft. My world was filled with the voices and presence of girls; my sisters, my cousins, and a powerful mother whose strength could silence a room. You’d think growing up surrounded by women would make me gentle. Maybe softer. Maybe more open. But it didn’t. It made me gangster. Not the type with a gun or a crew behind him. But the kind who learned early on that emotions are dangerous if left unchecked. The kind who keeps moving even when the weight of the world is sitting on his shoulders. The kind who shows up, who endures, who stays silent not because he's heartless, but because he was raised around people who had no choice but to hold everything in and keep going. See, when you grow up watching women carry pain like it’s just part of the day, you learn to do the same. I saw tears wiped away before they had time to fall. I saw tired bodies still cooking, cleaning, working, taking care of eve...

God Gave You the Vision, Not the Audience

I walk up this morning and realised something. There is something sacred about building in silence. No applause, no funding, no retweets. Just  You and the dream you believe in. Just you yourself focused on the mission of building something that you believe in.  There are people in the background building the future and the difference. Not the ones in the tiktoks, not the ones in the billboards. But the ones writing code after class, the ones writing at night, the ones drawing lab diagrams at midnight, the ones turning plastic wastes into prosthetics, the ones innovating in the midst of no hope. Those are the people building the future. The ones making a difference that is not yet seen to the world.  From personal experience, I have realised that success and recognition does not come immediately. so what?  Build anyways Sometimes your vision will sound absurd to others especially when you come from a place where dreams are caged by circumstance. So you get do...
